Our travels begin to the Nation’s Capital and home base for three nights, the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Orion, Maryland just minutes from Washington, DC. You will have time to settle into your luxurious home for three nights and explore your many dinner options.

Our day begins with a full breakfast before we set out to tour the Nation’s Capital with our local tour guide. Highlights include the Capitol Building, the Korean and Vietnam Veterans Memorials, the World War II Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and more.
After time to enjoy lunch, we will hop onboard the Potomac River Boat. Our narrated Potomac River cruise offers a plethora of famous monuments and landmarks with stunning reflective views of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and more.
Following our cruise, we will return to our hotel to relax and enjoy dinner prior to tonight’s Night Light Tour of the monuments and memorials. (B)
After breakfast we head to the Smithsonian Institution. Visit the National Air & Space Museum’s collection of the famous Wright 2903 Flyer, the Spirit of St. Louis and the Apollo 11 command module. The National Museum of American History showcases national treasures including the many gowns worn by American’s First Ladies. This afternoon you have the option to continue exploring the many museums at the Smithsonian Institute or enjoy one of the following museums.

On the Washington Mall, the museum serves as a living memorial to the Holocaust, one of the worst tragedies the world has ever seen. Its purpose is to educate its visitors on the dangers of hatred and the atrocities of genocide, and how society can confront challenges to freedom and human dignity.
This evening if free to enjoy the National Harbor, MGM Entertainment complex or our resort. (B)
It's time to pack our bags and begin our journey home. However, before departing DC we will enjoy a guided tour of the Library of Congress the Jefferson Building, the largest library in the world containing over. The outstanding architecture both inside and out will fascinate you as you visit the largest collection of books in the world in over 450 languages. There will be time for lunch before continuing back home with fond memories of our vacation to the Nation’s Capital. (B)
